This Nissan N14 Pulsar is a little closer to home. It's Kris's dad's car and part of a bigger motorsport build that will eventually make its way back through the Noizee Engineering workshop.
The first stage was getting the foundations right — a six-point Motorsport Australia national-level weld-in roll cage, tower-to-tower fabrication and welded-in seat rails.
There's more planned for this Pulsar, but for now, the cage and supporting fabrication give the rest of the build a solid starting point.

Starting With the Right Foundation
When you're building a dedicated motorsport car, it makes sense to get the major fabrication sorted before everything else starts going back into the shell.
For this N14, that meant doing more than simply welding in a cage.
The seat rails were fabricated into the build and the cage was tied tower-to-tower, giving the car a properly integrated starting point for the work still to come.
Everything was built around the actual Pulsar shell and where the project is ultimately heading.
More Than a Roll Cage Build
This is one project we're not calling finished yet.
The N14 is due to come back into the Noizee workshop for more work, which means we'll be able to keep adding to this build as it progresses.
For now, the roll cage, seat rails and tower-to-tower fabrication make up the first major stage.
As the car comes back together, we'll update the project with the additional fabrication and finished build.
Kris specifically noted that this car will become a more complete build once it returns to the workshop for the remaining work.
Why Integrate the Fabrication?
A cage doesn't exist in isolation once you're building a proper race car.
Seat position, mounting points and the surrounding chassis fabrication all need to work together.
By incorporating the seat rails and tower-to-tower work while the cage was being fabricated, the N14 gets a much cleaner foundation for the next stages of the build.
It also means we're not coming back later and trying to work around fabrication that's already been completed.
Build it with the end result in mind from the start.
Follow the N14 Build
This Pulsar isn't finished yet.
As it comes back through the Noizee workshop, we'll add the next stages of fabrication and show how the complete build comes together.
If you're starting your own Pulsar or dedicated motorsport build, getting Kris involved early means the cage and supporting fabrication can be planned around where you ultimately want the car to end up.
